Forest Futures restores 10,000 hectares of degraded land in Nagaland, the Indian state losing forest cover fastest, inside the Indo-Burmese biodiversity hotspot. It projects 3.86 Mt CO₂e over 40 years with 16 native species and a reach of 200,000+ people. CarbonMarketsHQ is co-proponent and technology partner: we carry the project alongside the communities who own the land, rather than developing it for them. It is our own project and it runs our own nature-based dMRV stack, with 30 permanent sample plots producing the calibrated ground-truth data satellites cannot see. Every plot measurement, methodology version and document revision on it is kept under change control.
