On 25 March 2026, Gold Standard certified the first fully digital carbon credits ever recorded under any standard: 1,667 tCO₂e verified from ATEC’s eCook programme in Bangladesh, metered across 3,254 devices at 100% coverage, audited by Earthood, and published as a digital twin on Hedera Guardian, with 1,250 tCO₂e issued to date under the Interim Issuance Track. CarbonMarketsHQ led the methodology digitisation behind the issuance and built the public Atlas dashboard that both the Gold Standard and ATEC announcements point to. It is the reference implementation for what a digital carbon credit looks like.
